Jailbreaking was deemed to be legal after a long debate but that doesn’t stop Apple from bringing out new updates that will patch up security flaws. Some people choose to jailbreak in order to receive new custom additions to their devices or more freedom with their settings and tools but others may choose to continue on with the official firmware update that is offered by Apple. Either way, users of the latest iPhone 5 will soon have a choice.
There’s news which started off by @Planetbeing, sending a tweet that the iPhone 5 Jailbreak will be released sometime today. This will be the first concrete release date that the team has ever given so we’re sure they will have a very strong release with mention ahead of time about the jailbreak.
This jailbreak will work on the latest iPhone 5 but it will also work with the iPod Touch, iPad, iPad Mini and other past iPhones that is running iOS 6, 6.0.2 or 6.1. We’re also finding out that this is a untethered jailbreak rather than a tethered jailbreak we are use to seeing. With an untethered jailbreak, meaning users will not have to reboot their devices through a computer.
